I just had the seat like that for the pic, it did hit when it was lower than 3-4 inches. One thing that helps is getting a low profile seat with a cutout in the back, like this http://www.foldabikes.com/BromptonPhoto/Fizik_saddle&PentaClip.jpg

The totem was an amazing fork for the ReignX. I wanted mine to be like a mini DH bike and the little extra slackness the fork gave was great. I would do it again.
